The “St. Andrew’s Collection” is a collection of music specifically targeted to traditional and liturgical worship services. Although the music was (and continues to be) written for the traditional worship services at St. Andrew’s Historic Church in Mt. Pleasant SC, you may find it useful in your worship services as well. All the music is arranged and/or composed by me, and it is all free (being either original compositions or in the public domain). It is also offered royalty-free. No need to report its use as is required with some copyrighted material. The music is copyrighted only to prevent it from being published by anyone other than me, and it is published for sale on other websites (because this website is difficult to find), but it is free here. Lucky you to find this website. How can I, and why would I do this? Simple. This is an expression of my gratitude for all the benefits I have received from the Lord’s hand, and not a money-making venture.
You need NOT provide any information about yourself in order to freely download the sheet music in PDF format. You can also listen to the music while watching the sheet music by clicking on the provided Youtube video link. If you wish, you may create an account, but it is entirely voluntary. This would enable you to see anything you’ve downloaded in the past, and signup for notifications when new material is added. There is no limit to the amount of music you may download, and the ability to re-download never expires.
For hymn settings, a repeated stanza is provided for convenience, taken from one of several hymnals at my disposal, but I would expect you to use the version of the hymn familiar to you, likely from your church’s hymnal, switching to my setting for either the interlude or the final stanza. Interludes are provided because the choir at St. Andrew’s processes and recesses. For the recessional, we need a little time to queue up behind the crucifer. Where there is a key change, the final stanza is provided in the original key if no interlude is desired.
The sheet music was created using MuseScore and the soundtracks using GarageBand. The choir in GarageBand can only sing “Ahhh”, not words. But you can see the words and follow along with the music on the videos provided. Because there is no charge for this music, I have not produced professional samples with real singers and instrumentalists.
New material is added weekly. Please check back regularly for new and updated material, and if you have a specific desire for a specific piece of music, please reach out to me. My composing and arranging services, like my music, are always free.
The “St. Andrew’s Collection” is not affiliated with the St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Although it is my home church for which this music was written, it neither sponsors, nor in any way supports or endorses this website.
